The Bruntland Commission's definition of sustainable development is:
"development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" - (Our Common Future, Brundtland 1987)
We are supporters of the Bruntland Commission's definition and are committed to pursuing sustainable development throughout our operations. Our goal is simply to ensure that, wherever possible, we can meet demand current and projected demand for tantalum products without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
Our sustainability efforts are focused on ensuring the
responsible supply of tantalum products and in
assisting our customers to develop new generations of products that
are even more sustainable by improving the properties and
performance of the tantalum components.
The key elements of our approach to sustainability are the environment, health and safety and local communities.
