Aizu - Japan
Our Aizu refining plant, north of Tokyo, has been producing the world's high quality, highest capacitance capacitor powders for more than 30 years. This facility has consistently led the industry in the commercial production of "next-generation" capacitor-grade tantalum powders.
Aizu also focuses on advanced materials research
and development and improving tantalum product quality.
The Aizu plant is certified for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 by Japan
Chemical Quality Assurance Ltd (JCQA). In 1994, the facility was
one of the first in Japan to be certified ISO 9001.
Dedicated to safety, health and environmental excellence, our
Aizu plant has had no environmental non-conformances since it
commenced operation in 1971.
In 2010, our Boyertown and Aizu plants were the
first metal processing operations to be audited and declared
"conflict-free" by the EICC/GeSI organized smelter validation
program.
